Articles About Song Variations:

I have been collecting Beatles song variations since 1980.
Back then the only publication on the subject was the original Every Little Thing, by Mitch McGeary.
The 80's saw a few more attempts, followed by a radical expansion of McGeary's ELT.
Around 1990 Joe Brennan began explaining the variants using Mark Lewisohn's organizational structure.
I assisted Joe in his monumental task.

I also work with noted author Bruce Spizer in the compilation of information for his landmark series of books on North American Beatles records. He and I completed the definitive book about British records! If you think you "already own his books," the new digital editions of Bruce's earlier books have extensive additions to them. In 1994, when first compiling this site, I wrote to Apple Records' attorneys, asking permission to compile a collectors' site with content as it exists here. I thank Apple for their input. No song lyrics or sound files are found on this site, which is now one of the longest-lived and largest non-commercial sites for Beatles collectors. The creator of this site does not support the creation or distribution of illegal "bootleg" records. All collector advice is given free of charge; the creator of this site does not profit financially from the site.
